About Leaf & Label

An independent catalogue of organic food and drink sold in the UK: what is in each product, how processed it is, how it scores, which additives it uses and where it is sold, with side-by-side comparisons by category.

Leaf & Label lists organic-certified products found on UK shelves, from oat drinks and porridge oats to dark chocolate, yogurts and baby food. Each product page shows the nutrition table per 100 g with the share of an adult’s reference intake, the Nutri-Score grade, the NOVA processing group, the environmental score where one exists, the ingredient list, allergens, additives and organic certification codes.

Comparison pages put every product of a category side by side, so you can sort organic granolas by sugar or plant drinks by protein. Additive pages show which organic products still use a given E-number and what it does; label and shop pages group products by certification body or by the retailer where contributors found them.

All product data comes from Open Food Facts, the collaborative open database of food products, and is reused under the Open Database Licence. The database is written by volunteers and recipes change, so always check the pack. Nothing on this site is dietary or medical advice. The traffic-light colours and grade chips are our own rendering of the published values, not the official logos.

Product photos are pack shots uploaded to Open Food Facts by its contributors and reused under CC BY-SA 3.0; each photo links to its source page, and all files are listed on the image credits page.

The “Where to buy organic” directory lists health food, wholefood and organic shops, farm shops and greengrocers across the UK — address, opening hours, website and chain — from business listings compiled from public map and web sources, checked in October 2026. Shops marked as closed in the listings are left out; council areas and regions come from the ONS Postcode Directory. Opening hours change, so check before you go.
